Ray Hunt, Turning Loose
This is a documentary from over 10 years ago that takes
you through a typical day for Ray on his road trips from
clinic to clinic. He began with small groups of what
seems to be "hard core" horseman, using the old methods
to force the horse to do what he/she wanted. Ray
explains how to "set it up" so the horse understands and
"make the wrong thing difficult, and the right thing easy".
He explains that the horse doesn't understand the human
when he's forcing him, but instead will respond if you
allow the horse to figure it out, in affect by just "turning
loose". Ray has inspired many of the younger trainers
and clinicians out today and this is a wonderful history of
how he began working with one horse at a time.
